After learning about fire safety for Fire Safety Week (October 5th-11th), our Head Start class visited the Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department to learn about fire trucks, the ambulance, and to meet firefighters and EMTs. Students were able to go inside the ambulance, see the tower rise 100 feet into the air, watch the truck pump water out, learn about how fire trucks and gear work, and were given gift bags with VFD stickers, magnets, Fire Safety pamphlets, and activity books in them. Students also got their very own firefighter hat.
